i'll pass, but i did see a video of people playing while rampage jackson was watching in the real crowd and "coaching" that was pretty funny.
someone was playing him, so he kept chiding the guy whenever he'd give up a good position etc, lol. then the guy finally finally won with a knockout and
you can hear how happy rampage is. lol pretty cool guy

I dunno, with all those counters and grabs and strikes, it looks really technical. Hard to judge the gameplay with a teaser.

Hopefully they make full use of it. I mean there is a full array of grabs, counters, and holds that could be used. Did anybody play the older games... I believe on PS2 that would have any insite? |

Did anybody play the older games... I believe on PS2 that would have any insite? It was pretty basic. There were various mounting positions and the counters were timing based. If you attempted to do a submission, your opponent could press a button at the right time to counter it and get a dominant position. As for strikes, there were some cases where the right timing of a punch could knock out your opponent even though their health bar was at around the half way mark. It was fun for like a couple of days, but it got repetitve because everyone pretty much had the same moves more or less. The Pride game wasn't too different from what I understand, except I saw that you can do a jumping double foot stomp on an opponent that's on the floor. |

Ground fighting and grappling are so technical, it's hard to translate that to a game. I'm waiting for a game that is as intuitive and technical as the
Fight Night games are for boxing.
