R.I.P. George Carlin |

One of the best comedians of all time just died on Sunday. Carlin's routines were of great significance to many. I spent much of my time in high school
listening to and reciting his comedy with my closest friend at the time.

I saw him when he came to Redding. It was an awesome show. This is a big loss to the comic industry. He really did inspire so many.

Yeah man, here in Europe I only knew him through his (few) movies, but luckely for internet also his vids are available to us. And having watched a lot of
those I can honestly say I think he was one of the best standup comedians I know! How awesome with words and specially euphemisms. He was a foulmouthed poet a
crass, but honesthearted observer of our culture and language. Very very honest and personal. That's the best way. Even his cursing is funny.
What a classic! Very Sad he is gone. He didnt believe in afterlife and / or God. But I hope the two of them meet and laugh all about it. Heaven got some giants up there lately. Say hi to Stan! ![]() |

Yeah, I just heard about that this morning. It really took me by surprise & was very sad.
Sir Topham Hat in Thomas Town at Six Flags was very sad today because his conductor had passed away. |

Dang... now I have to get even more stuff to pile into my house/storage unit in order to take my mind off of his passing. Haha, but really a true loss. He was
a comic genius and was even a good actor in the few movies he did. I quite like smart comedy and he was one of the best. RIP...

George was great in the underrated Kevin Smith movie 'Jersey Girl' (which suffered from the Bennifer backlash, even though J-Lo was
only in the movie for like five minutes...)
Give this movie a second chance, it's honest, funny and has a lovely role by Liv Tyler as a girl who talks very openly about sex. ![]() |

LOL Bpro, you just reminded me of the scene in "Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back" when George was hitchhiking and he told Jay and Bob "You have to give the driver a little incentive!" And he's holding a sign that says "Will give head for ride" LMAO Classic George! He will be missed dearly and will continue to be inspiration for millions I'm sure. That's why I love video cameras!

Kevin Smith said in his blog about George Carlin that he really hopes that Carlin was wrong about the afterlife so that they can "shoot the shit"
again some day.
