Anyone know any good programs for 3-D Animation? I'm talking relatively crazy CGI-type stuff, not something simple like Flash. Thanks.

Blender. It's a free program that can do most (if not all) of the stuff professional programs can. I think it has a video editor function too. A friend of
mine uses it and likes it. The only problem is that the interface may be hard to get used to... I don't know for sure as I haven't really used it much.

3ds max or maya .. learn those and you ll be able to make high budget vfx, but you will need quite some time - I guess about a year till you get decent
results.
