The Stunt People Forum is a friendly, constructive environment for filmmakers, stunt persons, martial artists, game
nerds, dung farmers, and everyone in between. In order to maintain some semblance of peace on The Stunt People Forum, users must follow some very basic rules:
RULES OF CONDUCT
1. Members will be respectful toward each other.
The Stunt People Forum is a growing community of artists and fans. All members will show respect toward each other during discussions, arguments,
critiques, and any other posts. Conflicts will arise, and members must always motion toward peaceful discussion.
2. Members must become acquainted with the forum functions.
Members must be aware that moderators issue warnings and personal messages through private messaging on the forum, and those who do not become
acquainted with the Yuku forum setup will not receive such messages. It is in both the individual user's and the community's interest that all members
acquaint themselves with the Yuku forum setup.
3. Flaming and Attacks are prohibited.
Members are reminded that we are a community, and there is no room for personal assaults. Do not berate, insult, purposefully anger, or try to get
a rise out of any other members. Posting comments that serve only to aggravate other members will not be tolerated and will be cause for account suspension or
permanent ban.
4. Thread-Jacking is prohibited.
Members must stay on topic. Any information that is "off-topic" must be moved to a new thread or into an appropriate thread. Inciting an
off-topic conversation through slander or offensive remarks ("flaming") will also be considered thread-jacking. Off-topic comments will be removed,
and a warning will be issued.
5. Ranting is only allowed in the "Rants" section.
A "rant" is characterized by long-winded, illogical, non-constructive language. Ranting will not be tolerated in any forum section
except for the "Rants" section. When a discussion turns into a rant, continue the discussion in the "Rants" section. This includes movie
reviews. When posting a movie review in a non-"Rants" section, members may be as harsh as they please, but they must be constructive and logical,
or the "rant" will be moved to the "Rants" section and a warning will be issued.
6. Discussion regarding bans and warnings will not be discussed on The Stunt People Forum.
All matters pertaining to bans and warnings will be kept private between moderators and members. If there are any questions regarding such
information, please private message a moderator. Any post regarding these matters will be deleted, and a warning will be issued to its author.
7. Posts may not incite or condone piracy.
Posts containing or linking to videos on YouTube, Myspace, or any other major video service are generally welcome. However, users may not post
links to downloadable full films for which they do not own the copyrights. This includes torrents, split videos on major video services, direct links, and
"yousendit" files (or any other file-sharing service). Use discretion when posting information or links regarding pirated media.
8. Spamming, Bumping, and Pyramid Quoting are prohibited.
Spamming will not be tolerated and is reason for permanent ban. If a user's account has been hijacked and used for spam, the original user
must contact a moderator via email (stuntpeople at yahoo dot com) so that the account may be reset. Bumping of posts, meant to bring a post to the top of a
section simply to gain attention, is an annoyance to other forum members and will not be tolerated. Pyramid quoting, the quoting of 4 or more posts,
also will not be tolerated. Members should quote no more than 3 posts or the post will be truncated, and a warning will be issued.
9. Members must not aggravate infractions.
If another member is breaking the rules, please tell a moderator or administrator so that it may be dealt with. Members are asked not to fight
fire with fire, as this could put them at risk of being warned or banned. Vigilantism will not be tolerated.
10. Banning from The Stunt People Forum can result from any of the following:
Posts containing pornography; discriminitory remarks regarding (but not limited to) race, ethnicity, gender, or sexual preference; excessive
vulgarity outside the "Rants" section and not conforming to forum rules therein; posts inciting, condoning, or illustrating illegal activity; linking
to sites containing said material.
11. These rules are flexible at the discretion of moderators and administrators only.
Members will not take it upon themselves to decide when, where, how, and to whom the rules apply. This is the job of administrators and
moderators only. Administrators and moderators are here to maintain peace on The Stunt People Forum. They ask that you assist them in this by following the
rules and not arguing when the rules are enforced.
