I could give a massive explanation as to why the following video IS NOT a full fight scene (but rather, 3 sections of one) but let me sum it up like this: Me and the other guy in the video were acting, directing, checking footage, setting up lighting and doing pretty much every job imaginable that we really needed about 2 more people to do to run smoothly. It's a step up in terms of production from my previous work but things we tough and we did the best with the time we had.
Anyway, I'll speak more AFTER the video:
The announcement: The man you see me fighting in this video is Robert Chen. He studied film making in my hometown of Perth, WA. For the last two years he's been working in the Hong Kong film industry. The story goes that he saw Cricket Fight but didn't send me any email becuase of bad experiences with Perth film makers. However, I saw his promo reel and approached him. After getting to know each other for a while he grew to trust me, saw Scarfoot and decided he wants me as his 2nd in charge for his first feature film project.
The film will begin filming in Hong Kong in September and then October in Perth through to about January. We hope to have the film edited and ready to distribute by February. When I say distribute I mean much in the same way Contour and Dogs of Chinatown are being treated. Robert's contacts in Hong Kong will be helping with this.
Anyway, I have to rush to do 2 Lion Dance performances... I'll speak more on this news later today.
