Hey guys. I've run into a problem 3 days before shooting begins on my new short film.
A large portion of the film will be shot in my Kung Fu school at night under the lights in there. The lights are white and they're the gas kind that take
like 10 minutes to warm up to full brightness (sorry, I don't know the exact name and I hope that description helps). The problem is that the orientation
or the lights, the colour and the lack of contrast in the area causes there to be a lot of shadows and in general I think things might be a bit too dim.
I thought things would be fine until today a friend who's going to be in the film from that school told me about a photoshoot they did for a fighter in
there. Apparantly they had a lot of trouble with the lighting too.
Two questions:
(1) Can stuff like this be fixed in Premiere and After Affects to a good degree?
(2) Any recommendations on Halogen work lights? No matter what I end up using, I'm buying some of these tomorrow and doing a test on Saturday before
shooting starts on Sunday.
Thanks for any helps you can give, guys.
