Man, despite straight up looking like a woman at times, Tak Sakaguchi has awesome screen presence. I almost completely forgot about him.

crazy bastards indeed!
its just funny that a calvin klein model who barely knew any martial arts somehow in about 4-6 years time, became one of japans top choreographers and coordinators, let alone have his own stunt team. either way, some of the stuff they were doing later in the reel was pretty ridiculous. I still dont understand how people can do the high side tuck into backfall falls without gaining some type of injury. good stuff though! Manny |

Well at the time, Tak was an up and coming model. He also got found on the street and was pushed to doing modeling gigs, but he hated it he said. It was just
easy money. Thats what he said on the ultimate dvd I have. Then after being found, he basically said he had acting experience, which really meant "camera
experience" cuz of the modeling. Kitamura didn't know, but frankly, didnt care, as he felt his natural presence was really great for the role. I
believe Tak also said that he only really studied boxing and some karate at the time of filming, but wasn't really a martial artist until AFTER the movie.
I could probably watch it again to find out which section he says it at. I'm not sure if its in the documentary, or commentary.

Oh cool, I didn't know that, thanks.
I think Tak moves really well on camera. He's intense and knows how to carry the choreography, but he doesn't overract or undersell, and he's got great timing. Definitely an up-and-comer. |

Really good stunts. I wish the showreel was made a bit better, but I can't wait to check out more of this stunt team's stuff.
