Didn't expect much from this to be honest, but I must say I enjoyed it a lot. It's obviously made for kids, but that didn't bother me much. It had
more Star Wars feeling than the three prequels put together if you ask me, and there were some really nice action scenes.
Music sucked though. Anyone else seen this yet? |

Yeah, but the Gothenburg edition of Metro also called Blade Runner: The Final Cut "The new Blade Runner movie" so their opinion doesn't count
Thing is, it's the cool thing nowadays to hate everything that George Lucas' ever touched sine Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. I seriously don't bother reading reviews of his films anymore, because it's just full of bullshit about how Lucas raped everyone's childhood. It's just embarrassing. People should grab their own necks, pull as hard as they can so that their heads can finally escape their asses, and just lean back and be entertained for a while. The world would be a happier place. |

you're for real on that. I just had that in mind when I saw the thread, not that I follow reviews much either.
But I'm not sure, the trailer just didn't give much impression when I saw it. It was cool watching it in the theater though!

Caught it friday night. Lots of fun. Good story ,losts of action. Some people seem to be ripping on the animation quite a bit. I actually liked it. Thought it
had a cool look. That battel up the cliff side needs to be seen to be believed.

I'm glad it's the "cool" thing to hate on Lucas, because he really does suck a whole, whole lot and he really did rape a ton of people's
childhoods. The only talent he has these days is for fucking up otherwise cool ideas. He's good in the same way Joan Rivers is natural.

To each his own. I think he's been hit and miss for the past decade or so, but still. He's created some of the best movies/characters in film history,
not to mention that he's responsible for the relativley fast development of digital cinema (both HD cameras and non-linear editing), THX sound, digital
effects, practical effects, you name it. He's one of the most important people ever in film history, so hating him is pretty odd from a filmmakers point of
view.

moan all they want, Lucas still wins.
