The action is so fun that sometimes it's hard to play because I just want to sit back and watch what's going on. The first vid is the bar brawl from the first Shenmue, the second is the foot chase with Wong, and the third is the rooftop finale from Shenmue II. I'm also really hoping Shenmue 3 will get made. Hopefully the free-fighting engine would be improved and would match up to the awesome QTE's.

Even if the fighting engine doesn't improve, I just wanna see Shenmue 3 made. When you finish playing part 2 knowing that there is not a part 3, u get this empty feeling.

Posts: 1123 (06/04/08 14:56:49) Sidekick Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	word is that Yu Suzuki has lost faith in the series...i mean...neither Shenmue 1 or 2 sold what they wanted/expected...and they were some of the most expensive games ever made at the time... i heard about some Shenmue Online game they were trying, which ive seen trailers for..but this was years ago...i dont kno (or think) its still comin out...which sux, cuz shenmue 2 ended on SUUUCH a cliffhanger.. altho, truth be told, i didnt like how the ending of Shenmue 2 got all magical and all...

Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	True that about Shenmue 2's ending, and I think that making a Shenmue 3 could actually do more harm than good. It would be like a Twin Peaks situation: everybody is dying to find out the truth behind the mystery, so the creators give it to them, and ultimately more people end up disappointed than happy with the way it turned out. As much as I'd like to see a third game, I'm okay with just enjoying the two.
