Baby powder works best. Won't hurt when it gets in your eyes.

Haha yeah Eric, that's what we use too. The HK power powder seems to be this kind of secret mix of ingredients.
Anyone knows the formula? ![]() |

yeah, the powder in the stunt industry is much different and cheaper than in the regular movie industry....so make sure you get the right one.

I thought the HK movies used talcum. I doubt there's a recipe.

Actually, I hear it's the same as what Colonel Sanders used for KFC's original recipe chicken.
That's eleven herbs and spices. Eleven. |

I'm pretty sure HK films also just use talc/baby powder. I once read something about a fight scene shoot smelling like baby powder. Another possibility is
fuller's earth which is commonly used as prop dust, but this isn't confirmed.

In My Stunts Jackie can be seen applying powder from what looks very much like a baby powder container.

What has worked for me:
FLOUR! I buy a regular pound of flour and it seems to have more density than baby powder, creating more of lasting effect whilst on camera. While it can get a lil dusty, its worth it once you see it on screen plus you use less of it than if you were to use talcum. |

It's accidental. Hong Kong actors have developed a reputation over the years for being fierce cocaine addicts, and at times, it is the only thing that can
keep them going at shoots that may last up to 30 hours. In many cases, trace amounts of it remain on their clothes during takes.
