So we were scheduled to shoot scenes for Intersect this weekend, but the shoot was canceled last minute. So we decided to make use of Shaun while he was down
from LA and film a short fight. We had about an hour and a half before Shaun had to leave, and this was the result of the shoot day.

The standup choreography at the beginning was cool! I dug it. Wasn't into the ground fighting because I thought it went a little too far, and the flurry of
punches when they went up against the car was exhausting too.

I thought the choreography was good... I just thought maybe a few facial expression shots and close ups wouldn't have hurt.

Yo whats up Micah, I saw the fight it look good I really liked it. It was different seeing Shaun doing fast hand work like that. The ground fight I like it too
it was different, I thought that when you where telling me about the ground part that it was going to be like MMA or UFC stuff. The only thing I didn't
like about it was the 1st hit that Tim did on Shaun, it didn't look like it connected. I hope to see you next weekend, my knee is still busted.

The exchanges were solid, but I wasn't a huge fan of the ground stuff.

this was pretty good, I liked the choreo and the intensity of the fights.
one distraction that was small at first but got progressively more distracting was the sound effects. a lot of them were very very repetitive and ended up sounding too synthetic to fit in with the motions. mostly it was the swing sound, but ultimately the punches started sounding synthetic when they were closely spaced. i'm no expect on sound effects but I am sure there are some tricks that can be done to fix that. i really liked the ending when shaun was shadow boxing as he walked away. also the fight at the car had some nice hits, the impact was great. |
